Lawton, Koe advance to Canada Cup finals

Stefanie Lawton could not be dissuaded Saturday morning in Kamloops, B.C., advancing to the Canada Cup of Curling final by defeating previously unbeaten Cheryl Bernard.

Arab leaders doubtful on 2-state solution to Palestinian conflict

At an Arab League meeting in March in Syria, the leaders plan to reiterate support for an initiative that promised Israel normalization with the 22 members of the league in return for the creation of a Palestinian state.

Today, it's such a refreshingly retro way to tell a story that kids are often thunderstruck by its effect. It was an family affair in overtime of Game 2 between the Anheim Ducks & Detroit Red Wings as Rob Niedermayer sets up his brother Scott for the game-winner at 14:17 into extra time. The win levels the series at 1-1 as the teams now move on to Anaheim for Games 3 & 4.

Ochoa Increases Lead in Singapore

Top-ranked Lorena Ochoa increased her lead to seven strokes Friday in the HSBC Women's Champions, shooting a 7-under 65 at Tanah Merah in her second tournament round of the year.
